Meridian Medical Technologies, a St. Louis-based maker of auto-injector pens and similar devices, is merging with Kindeva Drug Delivery, a Minneapolis-area medical manufacturer. The two companies, both owned by New York-based Altaris Capital Partners, announced the deal Monday. Kindeva and Meridian will continue to operate independently until the merger closes, Altaris said. The combined company will be led by Milton Boyer, Meridian's St. Louis-based CEO. 'We are incredibly excited about the opportunities that will result from the combination of two companies with deep roots in complex drug delivery,' he said in a statement.
